I’ve been incredibly lucky to collaborate and perform with Neil Finn over the past 10 years or so. He’s an iconic artist of abundant energy and endless curiosity… there’s always something brewing… some beautiful song or mad idea.
Most recently, he’s been presenting a series of Infinity Sessions – intimate shows at Roundhead Studios featuring a range of extraordinary artists, which often include instrumental arrangements that are entrusted to me.
The idea grew from Neil’s 2017 album ‘Out Of Silence‘ – which involved rehearsing and recording the entire album live in front of an online audience over a series of four Fridays, and then releasing it as it was performed – with musical guests, a chamber orchestra, and live interactions with an audience who were tuning in from around the world all adding to the wild and wonderful ride.
The Infinity Sessions are an extension of that intrepid and spontaneous spirit… everything happens in the moment, performed to a small but perfectly formed audience and beaming out live to the world online.
